Careers With Google

Thought i Knew about Photography.. Guess not. Would really like to learn lots about it.?
Ok, So I’m only a teenager.
Maybe you think this is silly but..
So I started taking a few picture about a year ago, Started at my sisters wedding i borrowed my mum camera and i’ve loved taking pictures since then, I always have my camera with me.
Its only a cheap digital camera that you just upload you pictures onto you computer..
Started looking to Photography as a Career on google and got confused.
What is a darkroom and why do you need one? And all this information on Shutter speed or something :/ I really love my camera and taking pictures even if i don’t know much about photography i still love it.
Any tips fora good picture?
Speaking as a professional photographer myself, I’m not going to put down your dreams or passions like some other people almost seemed to be doing in their answers.
Sure, there is a difference between taking pictures and being a photographer, but it’s only a fine line drawn up with a little thing called “passion”.
You are young, and if taking pictures is something that you like to do and want to learn more about on your own time, there is nothing wrong with this and there are free ways and cheap ways you can do this.
You can look into photography courses in your area, that even you as a teenager can take, or you can also ask your guidance counselor if there is any way of studying photography in your School, or if they know of a way where you can study photography at your age, somewhere in your area.
You can also look online. There are a lot of places where you can learn about photography for free online, to start just google the words PHOTOGRAPHY TUTORIALS and even better, if you go onto youtube you can look for videos with the same words, and this will pull up some starting points for you which even you at your young age can understand, study and learn from.
What many of the people answering you are not understanding is that every photographer, including myself, started off with taking pictures as a teenager and began to have a passion for photography, which lead to us studying it and later using it as our careers, and this is exactly what you are exploring right now and there’s nothing wrong with this and you are at the perfect age to start studying and learning everything you can on your own about photography so that when you get to the point where you can go to college (if you choose to) for photography you will already have a good understanding of what they will be teaching you.
It sounds like you could also use a mentor. Look around your area, google photographers in whatever town or city that you live in, check out their websites and learn what you can about them, and if there is one who you connect with most based on their Work and their profiles, send them an email and let them know that you are interested in photography and came across their work and you were hoping they could help you to find ways of studying photography in your area, and I don’t think anyone would turn their back on you.
But again, just google things, there is plenty online that you can find and you will have all the time you need now to study things, experiment with your camera with taking pictures and also editing the pictures, and save your money to eventually get a nicer camera as you continue learning things. Just don’t let anyone discourage you if photography is something that you have a passion for… always follow your own dreams even if you are the only one who believes in them!
Good Luck!

Award Winners by Nationality: Australian Award Winners, British Award Winners, Indian Award Winners, Norwegian Award Winners $19.66 Purchase includes free access to book updates online and a free trial membership in the publisher’s book club where you can select from more than a million books without charge. Chapters: Australian Award Winners, British Award Winners, Indian Award Winners, Norwegian Award Winners, Russian Award Winners, Alexandrov Ensemble Soloists, Evgeny Belyaev, Leonid Mikhailovich Kharitonov, Alexandrov Ensemble Choir, Barry Snowdon, List of Awards Received by Lata Mangeshkar, List of Fellows of the Lalit Kala Akademi, Aimée Sommerfelt, Australian Grammy Award Winners, Jørgen Haugan. Excerpt: This is an alphabetical list of the basso profondo, bass, bass-baritone and tenor soloists who have performed with the Alexandrov Ensemble (under its various titles) since its establishment in 1928. It is difficult to differentiate between regular and guest soloists, since many have alternated between the one category and the other during their careers, so they are all listed together. Soloists of whom no recordings have yet been found have been listed below as “other soloists”. Until April 2009, when this article was created, little or nothing was generally known outside Russia about these fine soloists: as a group, or (in most cases) as individuals. People in the West could read a few of their names on current Alexandrov Ensemble CDs and DVDs, and perhaps hear a few old 78rpm recordings on YouTube, but could not Google in English for their images or musical biographies. Since April 2009, to a certain extent, they can. Therefore this article is part of the soloists’ history. In 2004 Max Loppert said of Georgy Vinogradov: “How is it possible for any singer of this caliber to have been (outside Russia) this unknown?”. One could say the same of the whole group. Before April 2009, almost all online resources on this subject were in Russian and Japanese, and even these were limited in content, so far as the biographies of most soloists were concerned… |
