- First step requires carefully reading the job vacancy. What type of Candidate Company requires, designation, what they expect from the candidate? All this will help you to decide whether you fulfill their criteria or not.
- After going through the job requirement write down the skills, qualification, experience which is required for the desired post.
- Now write your qualities, expertise and experience and decide whether you are fit for the job or not.
- While Writing Resume, make sure that you highlight those accomplishment of yours which are suitable for that particular job. Highlight your achievements that you have gained previously in similar kind of job.
- All your previous jobs should be arranged in chronological order along with achievements. Also mention some special projects, summer placements, training or some other specific thing. This provides resume a good quality. If you have gap of few years in your Work, try to mention that time as gracefully as possible. In case you do not mention, they may frame your wrong image.
- Educational qualifications along with extracurricular activities also create a great impact on the reader. This helps them to know about your multitalented personality. Write those qualifications, which suit this vacancy, more clearly so that they may not miss them.
- Always continue with the similar format throughout the resume, be it chronological or functional format. If you are applying for same field job chronological order is more preferred by the employers.
- To design a perfect resume, the most important thing is to mention your Career objective and future goals. This helps them to know your sense of direction and your ambitions in life.
- For writing a resume or taking print out, never use colorful papers. Simplicity is the best policy. Use plain white or ivory paper of good quality.
- Do not fold your resume. It is better to attach them in files or folders. Folded resume are not a preferred choice among employers.
